GI Patagonia SOF Jungle Stretch Pants

The SOF Jungle Pants was designed by Patagonia for use by SOF units in temperate jungle environments. Patagonia makes a wide variety of top quality clothing for the US Military, especially cold weather clothing. They started making cold weather clothing for the military after some of their civilian hiking and outdoor gear was used by various SOF units, and eventually branched out into more field and combat uniforms.

These pants are made of a lightweight Nylon material that sheds water very quickly and is extremely lightweight. Hook and loop closures are replaced with buttons or button snaps to maintain reliability when wet, and to enable quicker draining and drying. These pants feature cargo, back and standard front pants pockets. The cargo pockets have button snaps to conch them down a bit, and close with buttons like normal uniform pants. The front and back pockets have standard pocket openings. There are no ankle pockets, but on the inside of the pant leg is a mesh panel that tucks into boots to keep bugs out. The pants use a button fly and have standard belt loops. Overall, this is a great pair of pants for temperate environments with lots of heat and bugs.
