GI U.S. Army IHPS – Ballistic Combat Helmet – Complete

These IHPS helmets are complete. They include the issued helmet cover, chin strap, pads, NVG shroud and a side swappable picatinny rail.

This is a US Army Integrated Head Protection System or IHPS for short. The IHPS is the successor to the ACH and ECH helmets. The IHPS is designed to be lighter and have an increased protection value over the previous ACH and ECH helmets. One of the ways this was attained was by switching to a boltless chinstrap design. By going boltless you eliminate the ballistic weak points created by having bolt holes and at the same time reduce the weight by eliminating the hardware. Beyond the upgrades you don’t see this helmets also feature an integrated rail system for headsets or accessories and a universal shroud for mounting night vision units. The helmets require specific helmet covers and are not compatible with ACH/ECH or other high-cut style covers. Overall these are a great upgraded and modernized helmet.
